That's the date on the World of wheels website too. I'm sure a lot of us will be there, I will be.

It would take more then a couple of beefy security guards to keep me outta that place for the weekend. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll be there from setup on Thursday thru Sunday afternoon. I'll take this opportunity to invite you and the rest of the Pack Rats to the house for the weekend. I've got plenty of room, you guys are more then welcome to stay a nite or the whole weekend. It's 15 minutes from my driveway to Cobo Hall.

Denise- It's even quicker from my pad...Royal Oak...unless it's snowing...oh, wait, that's already been said...nevermind...I'd like to meet ya though...

Any other Michiganders going this year? I've gone every year for the past 15 or so...every year it gets more dis-appointing...less kustoms/rods, more toys/lowriders/lowrider bikes/motor cycles/overpriced junk car corral... The only cars I'm interrested in now comprise about 2 rows out of 40 or so...the rest is just something to look at. Funny how your priorities change:

When I was 8-10, all I wanted to see at Autorama was the "General Lee"; I got Boss Hogg's autograph.

When I was 16-19, All I looked for was SS Chevelles...for ideas for mine...

When I was 22-present, all I look for are Kustoms and Mercs...for ideas on mine...

My scope is dwindling, and so are the displays...if you like the Foose stuff, you should be in heaven - those cars all get front-row-spinning-mirrors with displays that cost more than my yearly salary...ah, to be 8 again... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I used to go to buy a copy of HOT ROD SHOW-WORLD every year as a drooling teen car nut...

Now I go to ask 'em why they don't publish it anymore!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll be there...might set up a table in the collectibles area to sell some 'toons!!

Tom, Chuck is organizing another trip from town to Detroit for the Autorama. Plans are essentially the same as last year. Leave early Friday morning for the show, stay in Windsor Friday evening and return to the show on Saturday and then home Saturday afternoon. I won't be going this year as we will be in Mexico celebrating my wife's b'day. Anyway, check with Chuck and get your seats on the bus now as they go fast.

Denise, the Breakfast Club does a display every year and this year were having traditional hot rods. Were going to be building old run down garages and were gonna have a bunch of parts laying around the cars. We might turn it into and ally and have the drive - in and gas station from previous years. Next year if we can get a wall, we're gonna do a Bonneville display. Should be really cool.

I'll go just to see all the Michigan HAMBsters I haven't met yet! Now, if they'd only keep those stupid Riddler competitors in a seperate room- they make me sad!

Starliner, Sounds like a fun display. Let me know if they need a work in progress Olds roadster for their display. All the top bows can be kind of semi put together, and near Big Olds, like they are being worked on (which is true http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) I also have all the chrome trim that can be used to look like its either coming off or going on. Lots of bits and pieces.

In any event, it's going to be a rip roaring great weekend. Can't hardley wait till Feb http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
