I've checked a few vender sites to see if anyone repops a 3.25 ratio banjo crown wheel and pinion, but have not found one yet.
Can anyone give my an email address for such a vender?? I've tried Speedway, Patricks, Gene's but all list 3.5 ratios.
3.25 with 29" tall tires wil give me 2260 rpm at 60 MPH - that'll do.

Short answer is--- no. The only way, as far as I know, to get a banjo ratio that high is to go to a quickchange centersection---big bucks---hence the popularity of OD transmissions behind early engines. Anybody who knows of gears this high for banjo axles please chime right in. I'd like to know as well.

I take it back. Sort of. Look here: http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/catalog.htm
It's listed as 3.27. They're damn proud of it too--500 bucks. That's over twice what a 3.54 goes for. Only prob is that it's for Model A banjos only.

Go to www.geneshotrodparts.com (http://www.geneshotrodparts.com) and then give Gene a call. He doesn't have any listed on his site but had a 3.25 gear set on the shelf when I was there a few weeks ago.
It was so damn expensive I'd bet it is still there.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, that I need it for a V8 centre, which is completely different to an A model centre.
I'd expect that such a centre would be expensive. Geez what early ford stuff isn't these days.
I'll just have to sell my 4.11 ratio open tailshaft centre to help for it I suppose.

Someone is making that 3.27 gear and Snyders is re-selling it. I had heard that a 3.27 gear for Model A was going to be available for around $300-$350. Running a 3.27 gear would be like having OD on all the time.
