Or did he actually decide not to?? I don't remember......

Add him to the list of rich pussies that think you need a tow truck to follow your "Rat Rod" around. I think he co-authored "Unsafe at any Speed 2" By Ralph Nader. Friggin' loser.

It will be back on in 3 hours if someone wants to record it. I would like to have some of the Ford stuff they've shown, 60's FX'ers.

That's a joke right? It's been stated a million times that he's not related to them. The truth is actually much worse than fiction- but I'm not one to gossip (and I don't want to get sued!)

I feel sorry for the guy in the vintage "Plymouth" that had the person run a light and hit him.....
They really need to work on their editing skills.

Having a '56 Olds, that kind of hurt my feelings.

We laughed about that too.
Having been on a number of power tours that hour long footage didn't do the event justice. It was more like Titus's home movies of his summer adventure. He acts like he was the only one that had to travel to get to TX and the only one that had to travel to get home. Give me a break.
The ONE redeming benifit the show had was it showed the viewers how much camaraderie there is on PT. Folks helping folks and having a good time doing it is what it's all about.

Ya, when did Rides become the Titus show? I dont find him all that funny. Any joke he says I have already thought of.
I was down with that steamline trailer though!
yea he was annoying but that was pretty dam cool about what year one did for that guy. i have been there long away form home and broke down on a sunday night and dam that sucks but not to have to worry about it and have it taken care of is cool. even if it was for tv publicity still cool for that guy in the nova either way

When they showed what happened to that Olds, it made me sick to my stomach. It looked like it was one of the nicest cars in the tour. Hope everybody was ok.

I caught the first 30 minutes of it....
I thought it was goofy!
The truck with the hellicopter turbune was insane!
The way Titus was making a big deal about a 14 hour drive....
Wasn't he in a Lincoln Navigator or something...
I would rather watch the Smurfs!

DING DING DING!!!!! Hank Cash wins the prize! I actually turned the show off and went to bed. He was not funny.....and seemed to get off on mocking all the towns and areas he went through. Guess he thinks the rest of America is filled with Hayseeds.
I wished they would have filmed more of that guys museum.....would loved to have seen more of the treasure he had.

Yep, that Titus guy kinda got on my nerves too...
"And here's multimillionaire Christopher Titus to the rescue!!!" Please. He didn't do a damn thing but try and salvage a floundering career.

I thought it was funny that he couldn't even fix his car with all that crap on his motor. They said they had to lift the engine to change the belt! Also his car would not pass an NSRA safety inspection...no wipers! At least my "rat rod" had one of those. Funny how the mega buck cars break down just like us losers. Way to "step up" Titus!

"ohh there's bird poop on my car.... it wasn't there yesterday when we put it in the trailer, but now there's bird poop on my car and it's been in the trailer since yesterday"
(well, it must have been on there when you pulled it into the trailor.. OR there is a bird in the trailor.. OR there is a hole in the roof of your trailor..)
"there's a Toyota Previa in the parking lot license # 52T3sd, your car has been set on fire"
(what about your Navigator... DICK? don't make fun of imports and cars that don't belong in the parking lot when you pull up in your SUV (sport utility VAGINA!))
"in Oklahoma they noodle.. that's bare handed fishing.. you just reach in between the rocks and grab a fish.... hehe, that's where Oklahoma gets it's reputation"
(what in the fuck does that mean... reputation?? is he calling those people rednecks to thier faces??... dick)
Can't the editors of the show take this stupid shit out of the show....
How does this type of commentary make the final cut?
Fuck them!

Yes, there were moment's that were nice, to see. And it beat's the side-show's of late. Perhap's the feed-back shall have the 'power's that be', in search of a 'tackfull' host. When surfing the board and the show Ride's as a background, (twice) you really focus on the dialog. Listening and getting the feel.
Titus came across as a Generic Jim Carey. Speaking fast with hidden insult's doe's not make you funny. That is why the passing of Indian Larry is so painfull, he was real and kind. Listen.

Whatever show on TLC where they showed his car being built, at the beginning he did a mini rant about how this car is being made to be driven, etc..
Towards the end of the show, it's in a covered trailer being hauled somewhere http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Mostly I'm just envious of people with lots of $$$, because I know exactly what I want, I just can't afford it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
In a friendly world like custom autos, I don't get the point to hoist up any one person as the king of hotrods, or customs, etc... These TV shows turn a lot of people sour. The time that Titus spends jsut hanging out dictating what work to be done on his car, is more than I get VACATION time at my job..
I'm jealous that someone as seemingly unfunny as him is so wealthy, when I bust ass and own a 1500 dollar car that doesn't run http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm REAL funny sometimes! I wish the talent scouts would pick me up. The problem is that I couldn't handle fame.. They'd put me on TV lying about me and I'd come clean telling everyone I was a no tallent hack, and that'd be bad for ratings...

Maybe it was covered in the episode but I fell asleep after about 15 minutes. Last thing I remember was the bird turd tragedy. I felt bad for him.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

After I was done working on my truck I watched some of it. The helicopter engine in the truck was cool.
Titus and his sense of humor gets old quick. After the cut on Oaklahoma fishing I shut it off.

Don't forget the Nowata joke. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Cause we haven't heard that one a million fucking times!
Used to have a teacher* who would tell the stupidest jokes over and over again. One of his favorites was... (in a class full of kids with, at least, a little Cherokee, Choctaw, etc in them)
Why did the Indians wanna leave Oklahoma?
Cause they got a Broken Bow, a Broken Arrow and Nowata!
Then he'd laugh with a wierd "I'm gonna have a siezure right here and now" kinda laugh and his whole head would turn really red.
After the show I went to his house and kicked him in the nuts. He's really old now.
Titus is annoying. He seems to try too hard and if he senses that people aren't gonna laugh, he changes gears suddenly. Maybe it's me. I do that if I can. Course I'm not around people all that much. I'm off limits now.
BTW, Dylan Bruno got the credit for narration. Did they finally dump Brandon?
*I use this term in the loosest possible sense. Apparently this meathead was forced to teach something other than football.
i liked the "stock" black&white '56 better than titus' slipper sled. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
