Sure, I could give my car a tune-up, change the oil or even the radiator on my own but I only new how to replace something that was broken - I certainly didn't know how or why anything worked. I'd never even owned a domestic car. I moved from Detroit to Florida and got a job at Cruisin' Style Magazine (http://www.cruisinstyle.com) as a typist - now I'm the Production Manager and the publisher takes me to garages and shows and teaches me little things here and there. He's asked me what hot rod I want ... I'm hoping he's intending to get me something as a bonus! I get to hang out in his garage (bigger than my house) while he shows me how they work, as he says, "from the ground up," restoring his cars. It's all very cool and I'm very excited.
