Just another old guy (65) who has played with cars since he was 14 yrs old - '37 Chevy Tudor Master sedan with a seized engine - bought it for $25 and spent a good year getting it running and drivable. Did some drag racing in the '60s until the semi transporters started showing up and the costs went through the roof. Built several sandrails, jeeps etc and went off roading while raising a family. Got into off road racing - class 1/2 buggies in '83 and stayed with it until I was transferred to Munich Germany in '95.
Bought a '39 Ford Tudor - 400 SBC/Turbo400 in 2002 when I retired. Found it in a barn in New Mexico. Its been a great ride - we drive it 8 - 10k miles/yr.
Live up in the mountains of eastern AZ (Show Low). Just finished a workshop/office/garage and now starting on a 1956 Dodge Sierra 8 passenger wagon. Plan is a mild custom, 2006 or later 5.7 Hemi MDS /5 speed auto with a 8-3/4 489 casting rear end if I can find one. - Plan to use it as a long haul cruiser while I redo the '39.
Still up in the air over what to do about the front end - thinking about using an IFS front clip or dropped spindles/disc brake the stock kingpin IFS.
That be about it. Oh, I photograph cars as a hobby/business and I am the webmaster for www.othg-phoenix.net (http://www.othg-phoenix.net).
