Doesn't that show always attract the high dollar west coast cars? Nothing wrong with that, but were there any budget (dare I say, rat rod) cars there?

Saw your car there, Mike. I have taken many pics of it before, was good to see it again. I'd like to see it going down the road, beautiful car!

Xadamx,
Thanks.

Did you see this car? It looked like a survivor from some past time. Anyone know the details or history?

I know just enough to be totally wrong, but as I understand it here is the story. It was built before WWII by a man who, being of Japanese descent was sent to an internment camp by our government. He built it to run on the salt. At the time of his internment, he left the car with a friend who kept it for years, finally returning it to the builders son. I believe that is who now owns it and shows it around. I have seen it several times, this time I did see the guy driving it around.

i definitely ain't a bragger but my truck got picked for Timeless Tradional. shocking as hell. capped off an unbelievable and one of the best rod runs i've ever had. drove it all the way. no probs. drove down with thirteen others. wishing i was an outsider looking on. 80-85 mph all the way. planned on leaving early sunday but had to stick around for the ending. quite an experience. met alot of cool people. i'll try to post some pics later.

THANX KIRK!

That black sedan was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of the whole weekend. He's a friend of yours? That thing is so right on!

Ray Forbes. lives in Reno. won a boyd fab 4 friday night. then he goes and throws tall skinnies on it. ditches the billet. i thought it was great. ten times better. even better with a little salt or dirt on the side huh?

That's funny. The MC, John, is pointing at me at that moment. Pointing out the fact that I gave out the award. I hate that shit.

FYI, the aluminum car-club-style plaque that you got is one of only five of those given out at each event. Basically I pick my favorites.

I'd have given one to the sedan when it had the second wheels on it but he'd already gotten an award.

oh, little edit, racer ray's sedan didn't drive down with us. he trailered it. something like 8 miles on it. just finished it. he was part of our group though.

i was sooo caught up in the chaos at the awards that i didn't see ya around. got the plaque, totally bitchin, and split for the road.

I bailed like half way through the awards to shoot cars while there was more space around them.
