Here are some pics of Don Garlits looking over mine & Cowboy Bob's gas rails. I hope that these can be enlarged. Nice Nastalgia race there over the wkend.

I'm glad he got to see your rails. He was pitted near us at Bowling Green. I'd meant to talk to him. He was surrounded by fans every time I walked through there.

I had the priveledge once some time ago and he seemed a good egg. He comes from a better time in the sport and from what folks say he doesn't seem to've lost that.

One of the damn few people I probably wouldn't mind knowing.

Says he doesn't plan to build a HA/GR but hey, they're addictive. :D

And he probably still has it. If any of you know some of Don's personal habits you know he keeps everything from his marble collection when he was a kid to every car he ever owned. So stashed somewhere in Florida I'll bet he has the origainal flathead powered rail.:DRoy

I believe that it is in his musieum.
It should also be noted that the Cordova Raceway is affiliated with NHRA. We had no problem passing tech.

I did try some Krylon Crystal Clear over it. I tried it out on a scrap piece of alum. & it worked, I at 1st used other products that lifted the maker & then came accross this stuff.
