I owned and restored 356 Porsches back in the late 80's. I made a killing and then the prices dropped. I never really liked those cars much but I just kinda fell into it. These wheels were stupid expensive back then too.
I always laugh when the Doctors and Dentists who own Porsches cough up major cash to have some rare ass Porsche option. Things like tool kits that fit inside the spare tire and knoch off wheels.
My dad raced Porsches in the 50's in Europe and ended his career qualifying the 6th overall finisher at Sebring in 1966 with Lake Underwood. I think it got 6th anyway.
I sold a 1962 Carrera 2 in 1991 and went to college for free. Porsche people have deep pockets. I think the car went to Japan and the guy lost his ass on it. bummer for him.
