View Full Version : Bringing my Roadster Home... Help needed....
Ok I'm gonna try again. Maybe we can get it from outside of LA to Arizona or Colorado. Maybe then we can get it from there farther East. I really want to finish this thing this winter. Any help out there?

Tell ya what, if someone can get it to Alabama by early December, I could bring it on up to Raleigh from here.

zman, What is the body from, Dodge? Looks like it was a long roadster if the doors were there.
It's a '22 Buick. Yeah it's pretty long. Had a 122" wheelbase. It'll end up a tad shorter, maybe 109" or so. It has two set of doors with it...

Does the old Buick have the golf door on the passengers side?

This is photo of a 1920 Buick and I think the body of a '22 would be almost the same. Not sure if they had golf bag doors that early. Many mid range and Classic cars of the 1920's had a storage compartment for golf bags behind the seat, with an access door on the passenger side.
I don't know if it does or not. I just wanted to build an all Buick roadster. And I have a set of '28 Buick rails to pick up in South Carolina in a week or two. So this will be the last piece I need to get started... HELP ME GET IT HOME....

saw it in two long ways http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif and ship it airborne or FedEx or UPS IN SECTIONS.........
I bought the rear half of roof from a '34 ford and shipped it from washington state to missouri for 50 dollars.[two sides/halves]
I bet it would go Greyhound in separate peices. I shipped a 32 Tudor cowl with posts this way. They will take up 72" I think? Anyway, it is dirt cheap, that cowl cost $40 to San Francisco from here.

I'm not planning on making any more trips this summer, so I doubt if I can be any help..........sorry.
Choprods I don't think I'm ready to chop it in half, yet.
Rocky, as for it coming out of Oregon. I can't remember, one of the other Nailhead group guys outbid me on eBAy about 5 years ago on it. About 6 months ago he sold it to me for what he was in it for. They're pretty hard to find...
