How about an all encompassing, ever growing, pictorial directory of every hot rod, custom or race car ever known. Well known to obscure. Could be cross referenced between builder and owner, i.e. Hirohata Merc under Hirohata AND Barris (even arguable origin cars, like the Batmobile could be referenced under anyone involved). This whole deal could be under it's own tab "Rods and Customs.... a reference guide" from the beginning to now and into the future. Any HAMB'r could start a new entry. Imagine, "hey, remember Grabowski's Tee?" ...well sure, but which one?" I know, let's check the HAMB rod and custom reference guide!"
Hey, that's the idea, maybe the logistics would be a nightmare? What would constitute suitable HAMB reference? Howabout minimal requirements so there's no arguing, if someone thinks it is trad, somehow, so be it!

I was looking at the "favorite hot rod of all time" (which is impossible, BTW!) and was trying to find a pic of Cliff Hansen's Brizio built '34 ford but no luck. Trad.? It is to me! .....and it's badass. Anyway, I'll quit rambling, maybe this whole idea is nothing new and would be a total disaster.....maybe not?

I dont know how/ if it would work, but I love the idea.
That would be awesome.

( I moved this to the Q & S Forum...)

This is a damn good idea... I would take it one step farther and add in members cars as well. Sort of a Wiki for custom/hot rod cars!

I have pics of my cars in the intro thread. That is one option for members. Everybody has a intro, right:)

Some sort of a wiki-type deal might work - there's software out there to do this type of thing...don't know how it would interface with current software...

it is a great idea but it would require a whole shitload of megabytes to do and as yall know webspace costs dough.. just my 2cts.

So to combat this... raise alliance memberships like $5

i really have no idea? i really dont think anyone wants to see subscriptions raised and im sure the boss doesnt want this either but im just saying the space needed to make such a page or site would have to be huge , of course it could all just be linked to other pages on other sites with hot rods and customs already posted to those sites , then again the minor problem would be it would take a good bit of time to produce as well .. just my 2cts , perhaps someone knows a better way? and im sure someone out there does know a better way..

just for shits and giggles, my website dont cost that much and i have mor than enough space to record live feed from the tow yard 24/7 for almost a year and still have my regular 6 or 7 page site

if your worried bout the price of shit going up -- and i hope ryan will agree with this -- then have 2 or 3 extra auctions, this should pick up the added expense of getting more space
