Jack started on the assembly of my 225 Slant 6 today..
I squirted some black engine paint...
(anyone else think that DupliColor sucks? The damn sprayer kept dripping black everywhere... Lots of black everywhere, I had to throw a can away.)

For aerosol cans, I've found Plasti-Kote to be the best.
Tell us about what you're doing with this engine.
good little motors and good little cars too.
my son's first two cars were slant six cars,
a '69 Signet with Clifford stuff and a '69 Dart that eventually got a 318.
a fresh 225 in your little car should scoot around town just fine!

I have a Slant 6 170 w/ 3 on the tree now... Planned is a 225 .40 over, .40 off the head, Crower cut cam, Clifford 6 into 2 header, Clifford Intake... not sure on the Carb yet - I have a 2bbl Weber that I might use, but I'd like to find a small (400cfm or so) 4 bbl...
I have a rebuilt 904 automatic.. and a B&M slap shifter - I need to get an Ebay Guinness tapper for a shifter.
I should be doubling my tourque and my HP over the current 170 AND get about 22 MPG!
here is the car that it's going into..
