Howdy! I have been reading on here for a little bit and finally decided to make a user name because I have a question about a part.
First off my name is Cory and I bought a 57 chevy bel air last summer and am about to start working on it this summer. I'll be building it into a rat rod, got a 454 sitting in my garage waiting to be built for the car.
Here is the car:

So here is my question. My friend recently went to his fathers uncles house and found a straight axle sitting out in the lawn. Their is nothing on it saying what its from so I'm hoping that somebody on here will be able to recognize it.

I don't plan to do much other then to lift the front end up a bit. I don't think I am even going to paint it.

That's agreat looking car. Feel free to refrain from referring to your own car as a "rat rod". The definition of that term is not universal, and what you sound like you will be building is, in fact not a rat rod at all, more like a gasser. Welcome to the HAMB. This place is amazing, the skill and knowlegde here is mind blowing. Hope you enjoy your stay.
