email notification stopped

Ive had my email notification set up to let me know when I get PM's.
Recently its stopped working. I checked all my settings on my user acct. Nothing has changed on my end. Same old computer, same email addy (hotmail) and same provider (Comcast). Havent added any new computer protections either.

Any suggestions on what else to check?

Ive double checked all my settings. All are as they should be. This was working until recently, nothing has changed on my end.

I checked... emails are being sent... check your spam folder and see if they are in there.

I check all my spam before I delete it. I would have noticed HAMB in my spam. =)

I only participate in two forums like this and I just realized Im not getting mail notices for the other forum either. Maybe its a hotmail thing. Im switching my board email to a gmail acct to see what happens.


Ok, got my first PM this morning and my email alerts work again using my gmail acct.

Im guessing hot mail has done something different trying to stop spam mail. I do get very little spam there and 99 percent of it goes into the hotmail spam folder. Maybe they have totally blocked certain kind of email from even getting into the spam folder?
