In keeping with the theme of the board here, I will post my progress as well....

What started out as a club project in Cincinati has ened up here in my garage in St. Louis. The car's basic design was done by Blown49 (Jim Leis), and modified by group discussion. The frame and roll cage was welded together by Crossthreads (Jim Brinkley).

I have most of the pieces in hand now to finish the build.
The car will run a '53 Merc flathead, 2 duces, Offy heads and intake. The rear end is a period correct Winters Quickchange, modified with disk breaks to stop the thing.

Here are the current pic's of the car:
The Engiine is a '53 Merc flathead:

And this is the idiot that is finishing the build and re-assembling this car:

With the able assistance of Crossthreads (Jim B.) We got the perch pins out of the front end tonight so that i can split the bones on the front end I bought form a HAMB'er in KC:

Howdy,

Sorry to hear about your club folding. Glad to see the car'll survive it.

You might want to start the thread over and add the words "build thread" to the title for search purposes.

That rear end looks downright vulgar from the back, I love it. :D

I've heard of running the right tire at lower pressure to balance out the footprint but you may be over doing it a tad. :D

Keep it coming ........

Great looking project, I love the rear end. Can't relate to the perch pins, I got my axle with them already removed. Sometimes I'll get lucky on stuff like that and not even know it.

Don't worry about a name for it, you will wakeup in the middle of the night and it will name itself.

I can relate to waking up in the middle of the night thinking about this damn monster my partners and I are building. I think we should have named it "The Iron Mistress". It dominates my every waking hour, costs a fortune, and frustrates the hell out of me most of the time.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

By the way, a couple of you have sent me private messages and I hope my answers got back to you. If not send me an e-mail at:

Hey fellas... please leave the board out of any club politics/concerns. We don't need the drama.
