and NO steps backwards. For a change, my day went extremely well. I got to spend a few hours on my 57, finally pulling the seized engine. I have owned this car for about 13-5 years. This was a running driving car when I took it into the body shop here in town. I took it to get the flaired wheelwells removed and a stock front end put back on - it had the front bumper removed, a spoiler kind of thing welded in where the bumper was supposed to be, and a hood with a 6" snorkel hood scoop. When the body shop changed hands, my car was pushed outside and left over winter without a windshield. I got into an argument with the new owner over it and this is what I got for my trouble:
1) They put the rug back in the car with no windshield, now I have holes in the front floor pans, not a big deal but pain in the ass.
2) They broke the windshield and bent one of the Bel-Air quarter panel flashes. Big bucks out of my pocket.
3) Really pissed me off when I got the car home and their was TWO POUNDS of brake drum filings poured down the carb. This was a 300 horse 327. Assholes.

On a positive note, I did get back my newly chromed hood hinges, rechromed taillight housings and rear bumper without paying, and I never did get a bill for the two new quarters, the installation of them, and the installation of the dash.

Here's what's left of the motor. I have a rebuilt 350 going in hopefully Friday. Tranny is a M-21 out of a 65 Pontiac 2+2.

New 1/4's done, floor braces, inner and outer rockers are perfect.

I bought a 56 Pontiac for window regulators and a few odds and ends the car is missing. I got some "NOS" regulators from a fellow HAMBER and got screwed on them, so had to replace them. Still looking for good flippers for above the doors, at least the driver's side.
