ancient peterbilt rod!

just a lil note, I have been intending for two days to post this, but havent got out from under the Pontiac long enough in the daylight to go get pics....

A local friend of mine who thinks the term "rat rod" is a term of endearment had me on the lookout for a project...he likes cars, but he's not into the rest of the stereotypical stuff, I guess thats a GOOD thing...

anyway, while searching through the junkyard, I spy something that looks like it has a pair of donor doors that could be cut down to fit my son's TT...I get closer and find a damn near complete (as far as body goes...) OLD peterbilt...looks like a HUGE 30's model truck cab, but I dont think it's actually that old...regardless, he likes it, and wants it...

my suggestions for power fell on deaf ears, I would want a big diesel runnin 4 straight pipes per side that come back under the cab, then up the back and have four different lengths of single outlet non-capped lakes per side, kinda like four individual stacks...he doesnt like the idea of the BIG diesel, he kinda liked the pipes idea though...

yet another project that I will need to get pics up here for you guys and ladies to see...

My husband has the full intent to build a 50's or earlier Peterbilt "rod" to. He's got the whole thing planned out in his head, your friend should e-mail him, he knows a lot about old Petes. (Somebody actually gave him a 51 Peterbilt, we just have to figure out a way to get it from Orgeon to here, and then a place to keep it and work on it.)
