Thanks Elrusto for the T back half. Here is what I got done this morning. The beginning of my flatty powered A roadster pickup. 28-29 door posts and windshield, some mid 20s T touring suicide back doors and the back of a 26-27 T touring.
I need a cowl, or more specifically a gas tank top and cowl lower sections. The plans for the fire wall are to scavenge some stainless from a commercial speed queen washer. I also need an A frame. I have found a couple locally, just being cheap and picky.
I plan to fill the wheel weels with a panel that will go under the doors to the door posts and channel it about 4 inches.

other side The door posts are just clamped on right now. I may decide to lower them. I tried them both ways and with the tops of the doors where there would be on an A, the door posts stick down lower than the rest of the body.

"with the tops of the doors where there would be on an A, the door posts stick down lower than the rest of the body." That might look cool if you make the lower curve of the post reveal visually flow into the radius rods or something--kind of a tie between body and chassis.

Here's a shot with the posts lowered. I think I may make this work with the filler panel, It looks better at the top anyway.

Thanks for the idea Bruce. Since I am planning cowl steering the bottom of the foor post may be a good place for the radius arn to mount thruough.

Looks like a great beginning. How did you get ElRusto to get rid of the back half?

He volunteered it, just being helpful I guess. Or maybe he felt sorry for my Yankee butt being stuck in a town with a gene pool the size of a toilet bowl. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

We had a thread a while back about car names. I think this one will be the T&A 'cause I like both. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks better with the cowl posts lowered as in the second side image. I would thin down the body mold on the top of the cowl/door posts to match the mold on the top of the doors. I bit of messing around but it would make it all work together a bit better! Geoff aka Whodaky

Whodaky, I was thinking the same thing to blend the doors to the posts. Now I need more parts. It got me fired up to make the first leap past the ideas and parts scrounging phase.

I think those cowl posts/A pillars look familiar?

Yup, that's the ones. I've got them coming along, still need a patch on the one and a little work on the stantion stub I welded on. It was from a Canadian model and they are a bit different. I got the dash slicked up real nice too.

Elrusto, thanks, and thanks. Scored a frame, gutted gas tank and a few other goodys yesterday, and a big thanks to Manyolcars for that. We had a great day scrounging tin.
Also got my flatty home.
More pics as it progresses. I would still be scratching my ass if it wasn't for you guys, and ebay ( to a much lesser degree)
My original projection was to have this car on the road for $2500. I think now that it will be less. I still need a V8 radiator that will fit a 28-29 shell. Any ideas? Maybe soldering extra inlet/outlet on an early Mustang unit? Will a good Model A radiator cut the mustard if modified for the flatty?

[/ QUOTE ] I have a very nice 28/29 radiator set up for a V-8. It is VERY good and it aint cheap.
