This is my official post to announce that I am new new proud owner of the '48 Ford coupe that Grumpy was selling. I have decided that since I am the 4th HAMBer to own this car I am goung to name it the '48 HAMB Coupe.
There are a few things I need for the car to adapt it to me.
1. In the driver side door there is a piece of glass channel that is nearest to the latch that I need.
2. Also I know there is a company out there that makes replacement 12 volt guages for these, does anyone know who it is?
Thanks.

don't know who sells gauges new, but these guys will refurbish yours to "new" condition: united speedometer (http://www.speedometershop.com/enc-pag.htm)
never used them and can't vouch for them; just know about 'em.

That's a really nice car, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Now it's your turn to "make it your own".
FYI, the motor is a '66 327.

He needs a metal piece that rivits(or welds)to the door channel, on the drivers door, closest to the door latch.
I bought a NOS one at a swapmeet, but was given the pass. door. I paid $20 for it. Ass wouldn't take it back http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I bought a 53 Pontiac Wagon with a 71 Olds 350/350. It's alittle patina'd up http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gifbut cool
Now I just have to get the "A", whenever I get time

As far as the guages go I do not have the original speedo so I just wanted to replace them all with a matching set. I just cant remember who makes them. I am thinking of putting spider caps on the wheels(I hate looking at lug nuts), and I am getting new tail light lenses(no blue dots), as well as putting a heater in it mainly to defrost the windows. After I get that stuff done I am primarily going to focus on the T to get it done but I will do a few thing to the car as time allows and money. I will be posing some for sale ads this weekend so buy up.

Hey Grumpy, thanks for the clarification on the part. Also when are we going to see the wagon?
Jman, I want to add my congrats to your new ride, too.
I saw it in person at the Big Olds Trash while Donzie still owned it.
I came this close to owning it. I nearly had my self and Grumpy talked into a trade.
I just never convinced my wife I needed two Ford Coupes(Ihave a 47) or talked Tim out of an A.
Well, I think Tim may have came close, too. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
You will have to change it a little to make it yours.
I remember the MrGasser, Donzie, and Grumpy version(current background) and I will most likely use it again in whatever lebvel you take the car to.
Again, congrats!

Hey Grumpy, you're pretty good at getting cars sold... Can you find a buyer for my Fairlane? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jman.....Haneline make your new gauges in either analog or digital.
Grumpy, congrats on being a pontiac owner, even if it has an Olds in it. I had a buddy here that had a 51 or 52 Pontiac wagon with a 70's 350 Olds in it. He subframed his and slid it right down to the ground...looked great in it's original brown paint with mucho patina. He took it with him when he moved away.

Well, Thank You
Django, if it was closer, I'd sure try. It really only works for me when I know the car.
Maybe that should be my new signature: grumpy-UNofficial HAMB car pimp! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'll get pics of the "shaggin wagon"(what my wife calls it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif)on later.

Do you have a picture of the part that you are needing? I have some extra parts for my project and may have what you need. I'm just not sure what you are needing exactly. Send me a PM or e-mail at abone312@earthlink.net and I'll see if I have it.
J Man, you better get rid of the black paint and red wheels before some others see it, LOL. just kidding. that's a really kickass car. congrats on the score.
