Looks like another 54 followed me home (3 in 3 years) this one is a wagon. Miles, Boones and others, I am looking for inspiration and pics for this thing. It will replace the 54 Sedan that I am finally ready to part with. This new car will get the workhorse treatment. Bedliner for the floor, towing setup etc. It is going into storage for at least a year if not two. We are going to finish the damn Touring and buy/build another house first!!!!

So any pics for inspiration???

Ok this one you have to squint a little (pretend there are windows) and remove a few things, could almost be a 60's custom and not a lowrider with the right wheels

Thanks man, I like that charcoal one. I think I will have to do something about the "ambulance" look though. That roof needs thinning.

Tman - I agree this style of wagon can use a Roof flatting (not chop) to help out the looks. I am not into the chop look on these cars as they are to long (body to tall compared to the chop).

Just a mild chop...a tiny bit of pancaking the roof and more suspension drop along with a little more rake.

Yeah Boones, when I get to it it will get a longitudinal piecut above both drip rails. We did it on a 50 Fleetline and it really helps! I dont want to chop it at all.

Kenny, is this how you have done it?

Wow, all these look great. The pancaked roof looks perfect. I have been asked a few times if mine is an ambulance.

My wagon is set up for towing with a reciever hitch but I need a pretty big raise ball mount. I have towed a car trailer, a car dolly and even a boat with mine. I have not hooked up a trailer since IC put the new Posis's rear springs in (sits lower) and I added the super large/wide tires on the back. Sway bar for the back is the next upgrade. I saw Boones just added one to his. I am not running the factory tank and the one I have is in the way but IC is working out a plan.

Love the deliveries also, just got my second 52 (283 with late 50's truck four speed, I think, hooked up to the factory closed drive line) this last week. Spent some time on the weekend cleaning it out and taking inventory and got a start on reassembly.

Miles, very cool. Your setup is kinda what I am shooting for. I wont tow large loads but want the capability. I found out today about a guy ditching a built 6 banger with lots of goodies. It sounds like the price is right. Otherwise Art (my 409 pal and the guy that found this wagon for me) and I are talking 348/409. All of this is coming together too fast, like I said I want the Touring running first!!!!
