I got the bug to bring my '57 Chevy out of hiding and get it back on the road..
I needed some small parts for it, and Dat Dirty Rat had the 'hook up' for me.
He set me up with a relatively local guy who has a business building 55-57 chevy's..plus one helluva business selling new and used parts!

Dirty, Big Chief, myself and another friend head out to pick up my stuff and order a few other parts..

Anyway, he has about 40 or 50 cars on his land, and he took us on a little tour..
Man i was going 'Nuckin Futs'!!!

Here's a bunch of pics..
gimme a few minutes, there's a lot http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Love your posting! Salvage yard touring alway's welcome in my book. Bubble top look's great builder. Nomad's never fail. Grab that straight axle and slid it under the 'Mad! Lot's of stuff...any motor pile's?

Dirty olmost bought that bubble top. It's all stock, supper solid (from Georgia) and a bel air bubble top to boot.
I guess there very rare as most bel airs were post cars.

Unfortunately, most of the stuff there isn't worth saving. Dirty was saying that there was a lot more, but those were savable.
The owner said they used the good ones..not for parts..

No motor piles though...
He has a barn thats HUGE!! And it's FULL of parts..
Man it was unreal!

Oh yeah,

The guy's company name is Country Classic Chevy's..

He's a real cool guy and has been very good to both Dirty and myself just in case anybody's interested in parts..
He does have a web site too.
