Wish I had a bunch of pics to post but did the brain fart thing and left the digi camera in the store... To quote me as we passed Springfield and I realized it... SHIT! I left the camera in the store again this year. What a dumbass!
But anyway, just wanted to say thanks and how much we (me and Fraz) appreciated all of the loans of tools and helpful advice as well as the keep at it...It will be all right. Hell, everybody I asked for tools if they had it said sure just a sec. and I walked off with their stuff. Is that cool or am I drunk? Nope not drunk must be cool...
That's what was the best. Nobody worried about getting screwed, ripped off or nothin bad. We were like its supposed to be everywhere. Too bad the world don't get along like the HAMB. But whatever...
Thanks to So Many that if I named them, I know I'd leave somebody out. The support and the tools were invaluable for us even gettin Fraz's Buff running enough to get it home. But you all came through and all went well..
We flogged the 60 Buick a bunch a times down the strip and I got the best time 18.13. Not fast but so much fun that the wife is after me and Fraz to build something to bring next year so she can drive. We couldn't get her to drive the 60.. So anybody got a project on the cheap smaller than a 60 Buick?
We had a ball. Even for us older bit quieter types it was too much fun. If you can have too much fun. We were some of the very first ones there, helped the tetnus feller work on his car. Mostly moral support, and met some guys I have admired, at least their work, from the HAMB.
Got a HotRodLadyCruiser hug for doing something for Denise, and that made the day, and mostly hearing the family talk about what we are going to do so we got something to run next year. Man that's about too cool. Now we gotta figger out what to do..
Not worried about winning anything, just want to go down the track. I tell ya, that alone was worth it all.
Last year we bugged Ryan and Marcie, Warpigg and his new lady as we sat in the shade with them. This year we were a little more prepared. I'm sure they didn't miss us. They sure did an excellent job for all of us.
But most of all.. Thanks Ryan and Marcie, I tell ya Ryan you need to marry that girl. Thanks major to everybody who were in the background makin it all happen.
Now gotta go and look at all the pictures. Anybody got a link to Jim Marlett's site. He always takes boo koo pictures and they are the best.
HAMBER'S are the best. See ya next year for true and for certain.
