Can't help with directions...I know how I get there but coming in from the east probably wouldn't help you (by the way its "Amherst"). I'm sure a NH Hamber can help with directions.
It's a monthly swap and not that big. If you have been to the fall Stafford Springs (CT) swap, there are probably 1/4 of the vendors. Still, you can find some good stuff. The action starts at DAWN or slighlty before dawn. Bring a flashlight and get there while it is still dark. It's pretty much over by 10 AM. There are some car projects for sale and as always a lot of the hot rods / street rods will have "For Sale" signs on them, most of them are fishing for someone with big bucks.
For NE guys within a hour or twos drive, it's nice in that you are done by 9AM. I think there are some food vendors there. There is also a big collectible / antique type outdoor flea market in Amherst on weekends.

you may want to head up toward Springfield, Mass., then take 91 up to whatever route takes you over into Amherst.

I haven't yet been because I know it's a solid couple hours for me and everytime it comes around, I'm too bushed to get up that early.

Vic,
BigJim394 hit it right on as far as the meet goes. You got to get there real early. Some times there are deals, other times you go home empty. But get there early.
With the towns around the area I would think you could find a trailer within a reasonable drive, but I don't know exactly where.

They have a one page website with a link to a map:

By the way, even though it's still August, it may be pretty cool at dawn up there next sunday (I know it's damn COLD at the one in October). You may get to meet 286Merc there, hobbling around (if his leg is not all better). I think he may be selling.

I think I'm about 3 hours away and for some reason never gone to Amherst, maybe this is the year I finally get there.

You could probably rent a Uhaul etc. trailer in Nashua if you need one.
