So I made it there. Tried to get the Tingler in the truck when I stopped by his place. He missed out, but the Baroness Tingler fed me and sent me on my way. I rolled into Joplin about 11am Friday morning. A mere 23 hours to get there. Parked in the hotel parking lot and tried to nap. Flamedabone had the header caps off. No rest for the wicked...

Tingler: Yeah I made it out and back with no real problems. But about two hours from the house my speedo took a crap and I have a mysterious pop coming from the engine compartment. So I'll probably take a look at it in the morning...

Mike: I don't think they wanted to run out of beer. And I don't think they did. As for El P's truck, I believe the MSD box took a dump and ended up taking the coil with it... I believe they will be trying to redeem themselves at the Day at the Drags...

Bummer for the AZ guys , after talking to jerry ,who's black pick-up is on the second pic , they all still had a total blast!

Thanks. Now hopefully when I cleanout my truck I can find the other 2 discs. It's probably hiding with my "energyr drink" can collection. I don't know if I have said this enough yet. I didn't get the '57 done in time. Both Federal Mogul and Clevite have discontinued Main Bearings for the 425, or so I was told, I had a hard time getting them and didn't want to rush putting the motor together.

The inline didn't run the 1/4, but Mongo ran deep inthe 20's all weekend. So I figure I would have run 25's with mine. Hey but I did make an ice run for Hotwheels. But I will say I ran the hell out of it out there and back.... I think the mileage total was 3k for the weekend.

I told the wife I was going to DOD in October, but that I would like her to come as well. So yeah I'll be there... It was good meeting you as well. I can't wait until next year..

Yeah, Zman we should have raced. The 235 ran great all night the problems were the sleeping driver (it's the second green right?) and the around 3:00 gears in the rear other wise I think the truck would have been in the high teens, Still not to bad for an old truck I was happy with it, My best run was 20.33 I'm gonna steal back that 3:90 rear I sold to Raven that's in his truck, and maybe not wait till next year to drag again (this was my first but I'm hooked) and we'll see how she runs next time.
