Normally I wouldn't post about VW's, because I know a lot of you, including Ryan, are not into those cars. But I just HAVE to show this link to the guys on here who are into 'em, because this one is a lot of fun!
You can construct your own classic bugs, busses, type 3's and porsches, by choosing model, year, wheels, ride height, exhaust, color etc. etc... And create stuff like this:

I'm sure they will enjoy driving right past you when YOUR car is broken down, as well.... 8-)

i had one that was quite a runner. it put away a few stock bitchin camaros and that sort of shit. kind of funny to see the looks on those guys faces when they got passed by the vanilla pudding mobile (called that because that's what the paint looked like). looked like a stocker on the outside with hubcaps and all. the only giveaway was the stinger out back.

So tell me...

What on earth does this have to do with being a 'girls car', anyway? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I thought you were saying that you would always stop to admire them burning, rather than trying to help. If that was not your intent, then I apologize for my confusion.
I'll help anyone I can that is broken down, regardless of car make/model.
And waaay OT, but there's a street-driven, red, 1966 VW convertible Bug where I live, that has run the 1/4 mile in the 9.30-second range.. then, without any changes, he drives it home. Ask some of the locals at (the now deceased) Carlsbad Raceway; I'm sure they know of that car. The guys that own that convertible also campaign a VW powered digger that has run 6.70's in the 1/4... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Ryan, our moderater here on the HAMB once said, in a several pages long VW thread: "Still a girls car"... That's where I got the name for this thread from...
I'm one of the few on this board who does dig these cars though...
But we shouldn't be spending too much bandwith on this.. I just wanted to let the VW enthusiasts on here know about that website.
