Howdy all Tim here. Well we were hoping that the wheel cylinders would work but they don't...it seems that they are sticking...no biggie...kinda expected it. Either way I was wondering where is the best bang for the buck for these wheel cylinders or the rebuild kits. I guess I can hit Joblot but is there anyone cheaper out there?
Thanks
Tim

Try your local parts store first. They probably will have to go to the warehouse level to get them.

I checked the NAPA website and couldn't find them...and the local stores...ok well I guess some kits from Joblot might not be a bad idea....

I remember a few people on here saying that they got their wheel cylinders from NAPA. Does anyone have the NAPA part #'s?

Are the 1939-1946 Wheel Cylinders the same? I thought they were...if not what are the differences?

No Numbers...Sorry.
I'd try giving them a call even if You can't find them on the website. Sorry.

Macsautoparts.com sells em, but they only use the later 46 ones as replacements for the early ones.

Vaphead (Eric) sells them new. Same cost as Macs, but he will ship them to you free if ya tell him you're a HAMBer. At least he did 4 months ago when I bought some. Check in the business section for his post and ph number. CF

I don't think anyone sells the 40 cylinders anymore (straight bore?), they all sell the 46 style with a stepped bore as a direct replacement. Should work fine.
