Hokay, got on here after finding the site through TrackForum. Found the long thread of sprint car and other photos and was hooked. I was born and raised in Louisville, Ky., and got into racing at the age of 10, selling NSSN in the grandstands at the Jeffersonville (Ind.) Sportsdrome in 1949. After four years in the USAF following high school, I jumped into it again as an official at the old Fairgrounds Motor Speedway in Louisville, at various area tracks, and as an official with ASA, ARCA, NASCAR, etc. Spent 15 years at IRP where NHRA first hired me to help with the oval, but got hooked on hot rods and custom cars when Good Guys came to town. That also gave me the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of drag racing and road racing. Now semi-retired and living in London, Ky., helping to run Corbin Speedway and helping with PR at London Dragway.
