Feh. I was stuck at Disneyland several years ago. My eagle eye actually spotted one lone early Ford part...I can find early Ford stuff anyplace, no matter how awful.
There was a place there made to look like a third world marketplace, maybe the souvenir stand outside the African boat ride or something. There was a bunch of cut-up junk underneath a counter for atmosphere and in it was about six inches of an early Ford axle with the perch bolt through it. I was scrutinizing it to determine year when a security guard spotted my aberrant behavior (not looking at the crap for sale ABOVE the counter) and came over to see what was wrong. I slunk away and spent the rest of the day with my eyes completely glazed over as I was led through one abomination after another.

hooray for annual passes!!! (heavily laden with sarcasm)
one cool thing they did at the flop called california adventure is they have a nifty little souvenier shop in the aviation themed part of the park which is setup like a vintage auto shop (way to nail the theme disney). anyway, overhead theres a belly tank streamliner with an early ford front end, real moon discs and mickey thompsons, with flathead zoomies sticking out the rear. theres an old sun bettery tester (vat 20?) and lots of old tools on the walls. funny thing is there is a late model gm v8 (centerbolt) complete sitting on the floor. and theres a 50 ford hot rod and about a 50 merc woody in the park there too (if i remember correctly).
feminazi?? no, not really, just a disney weirdo. if i get to go racing half a dozen weekends plus shows, i guess its not that awful.....

That is a real old race car, and not just set dressing, it was built & raced 'back in the day' by Flathead Jack. I was in his shop a couple of months back, chatting to him about old race cars & he said that it was there, one of his friends saw it & called him up to tell him about it.

I really like Disneyland, but I haven't been there in 15 years, maybe it's changed for the worst. Do they still have the antique busses and trucks running around? If so look at them real good. They are scratch built, with lots of 70's hotrod parts, Bell axles, not supper bell, but the original Bell, and a bunch of other name parts from the day. I can't remember who built them, but I believe Street Rodder did a feature on them about 20 years ago. Dean
