New guy on the H.A.M.B. from Melbourne, Australia...

Hey guys new to the H.A.M.B. but not new to the car scene. I've owned a ton of muscle cars from Pontiac GTO's to Dodge Coronet's, but have finally seen the light and bought my first Rod just recently.

It's an all steel improved A coupe on A rails with a 53 Merc flathead running a couple of 97's on a Thickston intake. It's still in the States getting shipped over to Melbourne, Australia very soon. The waiting is doing my head, I love this car. Always loved traditional / period Hot Rods don't think much of the billet street rodder scene. Fellow H.A.M.B. member Rat Bastad is a good buddy and has introduced me to this forum, there's no looking back. Unbelievably great site, unequalled resource for all things Hot Rod. Glad to be part of something so kool!:)

Sounds like a great car is headed to a great country! I got a couple of mates in Brisbane that keep after me to come visit. Told them that since I found a place to buy Baron's Black Wattle over here, it's going to push my visit that much farther away...lol
Speaking of Coronets, that's what I have, though I'm sure she's a wee bit older than the one you had...

Thanks fellas, it's great to be part of something so right. The wait to get the Rod over from the States is killer me, I'd rather strips of bamboo jammed under my finger nails.
Always loved trad Rods, but my good buddy Frankie (Rat Bastad) tipped me over the edge when I used to give him a hand occasionally with his gorgeous Deuce 3 window. It a beautiful thing to see a bare frame turn to a rolling piece of automotive art. Yeah, it is good!
