Hello Everyone. My name is Jonney, I currently live in Roanoke Rapids NC. I grew up in a small town called Lompoc its a little north of Santa Barbara CA. I have always been into cars ever since my dad would take me into his shop when I was a little one and let me teeth on a greasy cresent wrench. I have owned a few classics since I was able to afford them. A 57 chevy big window step side with a 383 stroker and a rock crusher 4 spd. A 60 chevy biscayne 283 borg 4 spd, later to be a 348. A 55 chevy 4 door with a 265 and a power glide. A 69 chrysler newport 440 and 727 torque flight. And a few others that I bought just flip a buck. Currently I am building a 68 chevy c-10 with the original 283 3 on the tree, that I bought off a guy out here for a 100.00 thats been sitting in his back 40 since 1980, and just picked p a 70 plymouth cuda for 800.00 that an old man has sitting in an old storage shed, its a original 440 4spd car, except its missing the 440 and the font bucket seats. I know its not vintage tin but selling it will help supply the needed funding for my other projects I will have. Well thats it for now talk with you all later..

Welcome to the board Knuckle! If you restore that 'cuda you could probably build a couple of rods easy. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I would really like to see some pics of the 'cuda, I love those cars!!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Howdy dude. That CA town you grew up in a prison town? They got their own vibe. Nice list of ride's. Some of the 'other's' may not like the newer stuff, but I dig them. Esp. the '68 Chev. Great wealth of tech here. And you will learn Alot about a person by what they write. Be cool.

Thanks for the welcome,I will post pics of the 68 and 70 as soon as get moved into my new house, the computer I am using dosent like my girl friends digital camera so some thing like that. I tried sending my dad pics of my projects but they wont format or some thing. I am not very good with the computer aspect but I am learning. Yes Lompoc is a prison town. I have a couple of friends that work there. As for the vibe of the town folk, I couldnt tell ya I pretty much kept to my cars. i know the local police dept didnt like me very much. My veh always seemed to be to loud for the street. I would get pulled over so much my friends started to call me "Back-up" because every time they pulled my they always called atleast 3 more cars assistance.. Thank you again for the welcome..

I have a few friends on the Lompoc police dept, but mostly they all hated me, always wanting to write me a ticket for something. wreckless driving, attempted vehicular man slaughter you know the usual...

Those E bodies are fuggly but damn, they are like owning gold! Mopar nuts pay top dollar don't they? The only thing is that the parts you need to put it back together are costly too... and mopar nuts KNOW THEIR NUMBERS... listening to them talk its like listening to baseball fans spouting stats...

I know the cost to get O.E stuff for MoPar is really expensive but hopefully I can get enough out of the car to cover up the dept that I am going into to fix it up. But thankfully all I need is to find bucket seats, the car is complete with everything else except for a 440 which I already have one sitting on my shop floor. That came out of one of my cars that I just sold the body, it even came with two A-833 4 spd trans, one is still in the car. I am keeping the other trans for another project I will have some day.
