i just rewired my buddys 30 model a coupe . all original 6 volt.. Now i dont get any spark.Ive double checked all the wires that they are hooked up to the right spots...still no spark coming out of coil....whats wrong?
It ran before i messed with it.

ive had this problem before... i understand youve checked the wiring, but could it be possible wires going from the ignition switch to the coil are swapped?

sometimes the obvious kills us

Turn on the ignition and see if you have voltage on the secondary circuit of the coil (small wires).

Did you rewire the distributor? I rewired the condensor straight to ground once and it to me a week to find it!!

id didn't touch the distributor.I used an repro wire harness. color coded . followed the easy to follow diagram and still screwed up something. i have traced all the wires 5 times. quess i will start on it again tomorow....wonder if the coil is bad?//----It did run before i touched it.
one more thing the amp guage goes down to negative when i hook up battery.will start over in the morning---- http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Get a test light and check the power path. And use a DVOM to check the resistance in the grounds.
