I finally scored the right 8ba flathead for my T project, I never built one up before. I got two kinds of gaskets for the heads - copper and a set that are made out of gasket material. What are ya'll running, and is there any major differences in thier performance?
I also noticed that there's a ton of gaskets available for the intake, too (rubber, gasket material, copper, etc)... so same questions for them, too..
Tanks!

Make Sure yo put the head gaskets on right!! if there backwards they'll leak water.I think it says it right on them.

Hey Truth, good luck on the flatty. If you have any questions call on down to Ray Helger's in Little Compton RI. He is more than helpful over the phone and the place is a flathead ford mecca to visit also. (if you didnt know that already)

Jim's right. I put mine on the wrong way the first time and they did leak. I was glad at the time that i was just the gasket. I thought I had a crack. I heard that the copper gaskets are the best to use. Jerry

Hi Mate,
Remember, there are no stupid flathead questions, only stupid people who own them! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Says me who has my 8BA in pieces all over FlatOz's garage floor.
