I don't know what the hell I am doing...this was on Ebay and I freakin loved the lines and while my left hand was touching myself, my right hand was on the keyboard....
and well...it's mine. I have no idea if this was a good price or not? Seemed fair for a cool body and chassis plus some parts. Figure I can sell of the motor and some other stuff and make the car a little cheaper....
Any thoughts???....

Hey scoob, that looks cool. I saw one of those somewhere else that also had the dual cowl vents. DON'T fill 'em! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif The baby hemi motor you got with it would be perfect for it too. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I dig the cowl vents. No fillin those. But I'm torn about the motor issue. That 270 looks neat but is lacking balls and performance parts are scarce I bet. I've got a built FE and now that spare Lincoln 430 with 8 dueces but I kinda hate to cross breed. This is gonna sit for a while anyway till the 57 gets at least rolling. This is my problem... cool cars keep finding me and I can only keep two at a time so I am endlessly swapping crap and selling them as soon as or before they get done. My 59 F100 is the only thing that I've built and kept. I get my hands on a lot of cool stuff and make money on everything (except that 54 Gasser that ate me alive) but it's a shame I can't keep it all.

I think you did real good, shipping will add a bit to the overall cost. I saw a '32 DeSoto 3 window a few years ago and liked it a lot. To me the hood is one is the finer points on these cars, real long and the cowl vents look real nice. There is a lot of wood framing in them, someone must have a kit for them. Good luck with it, and yes, it needs a HEMI.

Silverton is only 30 minutes from Oregon City where I live. I'll give you a couple hundred for the motor stuff and save you freight. If you need a place to store till shipping or picking it up let me know http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A friend of mine has a 32 plymouth,,,,,,,they look a lot like a 32 ford 3-window except for the factory chopped top!
He had a cherry 32 plymouth grill shell that he sold on e-gay about a year ago for what you paid for everything!
You got a nice project for the money! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gifHRP

There was one of these in Vernon this last weekend. Very eye catching with the factory looking chop top. Looks like you are gonna be having fun this winter.

My Brother has a 32 Plymouth exactly like it, he also has a bunch of parts for sale. He has the original hood, which the cowl vents come up through, grill, windshield assembly, etc. His e-mail address is Hotrod_32@charter.net Send him a PM if you want to chat about the car, he knows more then most guys about that body and what will or won't fit it.

I love those early Plymouths..My absolute favorite! They look like theyre already chopped, and a channel job gets em sitting just right! I Hope to have my 34 out soon.

Looks like ya done good scoob. Ya gotta love an old MOPAR.
There was a guy at Goodguys last year with a '32 or 3, 318 fender car. just your basic driver nuthin special that he was askin' 18,000. I think he got it, if I recall.
Listen I have a 41 axle that I might not use if you decide you want a tube axle, or need it.

Pretty cool, one things for sure you can make a wicked early Hot Rod dash in that car, it has a little Auburn styling to it, have fun cutting her up.

I've got a drilled straight axle and wishbones for this thing, two sets of magnesium spindle mount wheels (12 spokes, and torque thrusts) and tonight I picked up a 392 Hemi with a 6-71 blower for it. Tryin to keep it all Mopar just for the hell of it. I've only had one mopar (49 plymouth business coupe) out of about 100 cars until this one. Still need a rear end for it. That jeep thing isn't gonna work. Need a tranny too if anybody has one. I know it kills resale value but I think this car needs three pedals. Should have the car here on Thursday according to the shipper and I can't wait to get it started.

I'm sellin off everything that isn't finished except for this one...oh... and maybe those 2000 cars at the salvage yard. I'm using most of your old front end on this car though. I think that entitles you to a test drive if we ever end up within 100 miles of each other.

Anything but a Hemi would be a sin. Glad to hear you scored a big'un.
I had a cherry 32 plymouth body when I was about 16, tried to put it on a 54 dodge hemi car frame. It obviously didn't fit and while it languished at the neighbors he decided to clean up our mess and put it all over a ravine to keep the fence from washing out.
Definately make it a 3 pedal. If you ever decide to sell it, it shouldn't go to some one who can't row their own anyway.

I just picked up a 4 Speed that was supposedly behind an injected 392 Hemi but I didn't get the bellhousing and clutch assembly. Anybody got one?
