Well...I am a long time reader, first time member. My friends at work got me addicted to the HAMB. It actually pushed me over the edge to buy my 1954 Lincoln Capri. I know how rough y'all can be on the new guy, so hopefully I will get this right.
Enough of the rambling lets get to the good stuff. I purchased this 1954 Lincoln Capri last May from a guy in Long Beach, CA. It was originally a coupe and I purchased it half way through a convertible conversion. I have been busting my ass to get it on the road. The car was delivered to me on a roll back, with nothing much to save. So, I started by ripping out all of the shit that I didn't need and started building her from the ground up. I decided to go with a SBC for the power plant (it was cheap and someone told me I couldn't get it to fit) and backed it up with a TH350. I shaved the firewall, redid all of the brakes (including adding a dual master cylinder). The list goes on and on.....
Of course as you all know when you start puting parts in a car that don't belong - you need to make it fit. So, all the mounts our hand made by me and one of my HAMB friends.
Anyways, here is a pic from about a month ago. To check out more go to www.houseofrust.com. (http://www.houseofrust.com.)
