Just took some photos of my "rolling"chassis. Just now languishing in outside storage (and caught in its own tarp).
Whats left of a 36 Packard. Please ignore the rotted front cross-member (and bumpers lashed to the back of the frame). I'm going to do up a new cross-member and set it back over the front axle centerline, as in late 20's early 30's practise (thus setting the rad slightly rearward).

This is the frame I'm considering putting the TWO flatheads in. My rough measuring suggests that twin Ford flatties might fit (in line!) in the Packard “Eight” rails.

Wouldn’t weigh much more than the (big) V12, the frame was designed to handle. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

First time I worked on a Packard I got a Hernia moving the frame around! The damn thing could hold a Cummin's along with a 40' trailer!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Those things are Built! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

What body style you using?

If you look at SoWhat's new "Speedster"post, the first one (w the blower) is right along the lines of what I'm up to. Except thinking about twin flatties. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
