i got bored at work, and took my hood ornament off, and filled it...
i think im gunna pancake it next week.... god damn these 56 dodges are ugly!!!!
no wonder nobody does anything with um!!

I never thot the '56 Dodge's were ugly...it's like anything else...it takes a creative eye to enhance the looks...in your case, french the headlights, get rid of that thing you've got in the grill opening. Build yourself a grille surround out of exhaust tubing, roll it into the hood lip and mold it in...put in some DeSoto teeth...Do not pancake it...that'll add to the "ugly". Open up that scoop in the hood, put a couple of chromed Merc teeth in there to visually hold it together, and get rid of that damned flat blak...drop it a bit more, remove the door handles, the trunk emblem and see if you can move that "far out" side mirror. Add some full hubcaps, maybe a flame job and you've got a killer Dodge...

well... i shaved my handles yesterday, the mirror is gone,its decked.... it may be flat black, but it does have a purple anodized aluminum flake top....
and caps and my bag mang.....and if ya think i need a desoto grill.... you can go ahead and pick one up fer me, cus i know they are really cheap....

Look's better than stock. Grill is the only glitch I see. The idea's you have are fine. The hood does look a bit thin already. Backseat? That's fer bashful folk's. Out on the deck lid, for easy access. Keep posting your work.

I think it looks pretty good actually. A little lower, do something for the wheels, spiff up the grille.. and it's done. I even like the paint.
