I have been playing around with the front suspension for my touring. I have access to both 35-36 bones and a 42-48. the latter is MUCH cheaper and I guess I do not know why someone uses one versus the other. Seems like you just use what you have or find. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I know everyone has an opinion here so let 'er fly...and thanks for the help. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The early ones are nice and straight.
The later ones have an offset.
More of an appearance "issue" than anything else.

ok I will show my ignorance - What is the difference here - from the other 2 versions. I would be ok if you need them I am building everything from scratch anyway.
Let me know. I will be out of town this weekend but will follow up with you next week Steve.
Thanks - Troy

The bones I have are 2 1/2" at the spring perch. I don't know of any differences...width / length maybe. Are you going to split them? I'll check my Ford chassis parts book when we get back from Arizona this week end...Steve

35-36 fit a 2" axle, like those used 32-36. 2" seems to be the standard in aftermarket dropped axles also.
The 42-48, like the others have said, fit the larger axle and have a slight Z in the tube.
Either can be made to work.

I would say use what you can find. Both works equal.
We used 42-48 because that's what was what we had ;-)
