First off, I want to say thanks again for the time everyone put in that Sunday - not to mention the donated and loaner parts. That day was rad. But there's too much left to do just to get it on the road and safe.... and I just won't feel comfortable rolling it out in public unless it's completely finished how I see fit. So last night I made the decision not to take it and it felt good.

Here's what some of you didn't know. I'm buying a new house and trying to get mine sold so I'm officially down to zero time...actually behind on a few things. This isn't a plea for help and it sure as hell isn't a pity party - I'm getting a new house and finishing a hot rod in the next few weeks for christ's sake. I try not to air personal shit on here but that's the reason.

Tossing this post up was just easier than sending PM's or rounding up email addresses...sorry to use the board like that. See you all at the HAMB drags. Sorry hank, you'll have to come to Kansas City to pee on my car.

Dont feel bad Kev, life just speeds up at the times you need it to slow down! I also conceded defeat, no sense to rush shit, just think about the fact that we will both be driving our cars ALL next summer!

No more "next years" or next summers. It gets finished in a few more weeks - just ran out of time and money to make it happen for the drags.

im sure you made the right choice not to rush it . We all try to set goals and 50% of the time we make it but no need to gamble and worry the whole way.

take your time and make it right in your mind

That's ok, man good to hear your getting a new house, No more working in the HOLE!!! although I like the rest of your house. Where bout's it gonna be? We'll see you at the drags and see the roadster next year, you've made great progress nothin to be ashamed of there, and if you get down in the dumps just play the video of it running a couple hundred times that should help keep you motivated to get it where you can just crawl in and turn the key.

No worries man. I was working on the fly as we were loading it on the trailer last year. It ended up biting me in the butt anyway and I never got to run. Just come and enjoy it.

Dude I entirely understand. My Buick won't make it either. It got to the point I just didn't want to rush some of the stuff that needed finishing. So I put a rearend and 4 speed in my truck for the trip... At least you'll be there... can't say that much for some of those slackers...

One step back to get a few steps forward is good thing. Once the stress of getting into your new palace subsides, that roadster will be done in no time. Congrats on the house.

Not having the modified at the drags is but a small bump in the great highway of life, my freind. Take care of families living quarters first, then play!

You are a BIG HAIRY PUSSY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trailer that heap. Park it somewhere in the pits and it will LOOK like it runs.

Um...on a related note...I won't be bringing the Henry J either. She was ready to go, but a dude from Massachsetts is taking her home with him...

So does that make me just a LITTLE hairy pussy?

See you there, -Abone.
