It's getting time to lay some pipe.
I'm gonna need a exhaust sytem put on the 36.
Here is what I have so far.
Stock 1936 Ford frame with a 350 Chevy. Block Hugger Headers.

I'm looking basically a 2" dual system with Glass packs.

What info I am looking for is what mufflers did you use? What will fit in my frame?
What size pipe is best to use?

I'm not going the stainless route just basic exhaust.
Any tips or help is apreaciated.

It would take too much typing to explain but you can run the glasspacks through the holes in stock frame X-members. There are oval shaped holes in the X-member where it meets the frame rails at the rear. Mount the glass packs just ahead of those holes between the X-member and the side rails. The tail pipes can duck out through these holes and look up to go over the rear end.

Getting from the headers to the front of the glasspacks will depend on your M/cyl, battery box, shifting linkage etc., etc., etc.

Put a hanger near where it passes through the frame rail to prevent rattles. There isn't much clearance but it'll fit.

2" is ample for a normal street motor unless you have humongus cubic inches opperating at mega rpms.

Thanks, anyone have a preference for what type of glasspack to use?

Is there a difference?
