I just got a set of shannon cones that fit a wheel with 6-3/4" wide area to snap the caps into. Can anybody recall what diameter the flanges of their caps are (the part that snaps into the wheel, not the overall diameter), and where they got them or what brand they are. The free ones I got must be at least 7".
I could make a bracket to hold these on, but smoothies are relatively inexpensive, I might as well buy the right size to begin with.
here's a pic of one of the cones:

Take one down to your local tire stores. They probably have a set you can try it on.

I'm riden' on a set of 16" smoothies from Stockten Wheels from California. They came with caps that have a 7" flange. I'm sure they are the same for 14" & 15" smoothies. I changed them out for Moon spider caps. Hope your Shannon cones fit....should look real cool. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

My wheels are the same, 7", The shannon cones are 6.75" I may have to slit the mounting flange every 3/4" and bend them out, if that doesn't work, I'll get a late model Cadillac wire wheel holder on-er and weld on a bracket inside the cones so they spin on and off.
Stereotypes be damned!
