little up date on the trip out to mokan with my 68 chevelle. well after beating the living shit out of it all weekend out on woodward and at the broken dream cruise. we kinda have a problem. the rocker arm blowing up sunday at the cruise was a easy 3 dolla fix. but on the way home i was dragging the wives 02 turbo vw when i fried the tranny with a pro stock like burn out from the light. the old tired turbo 350 gave all it had but just wont stay in 3rd for more then a second when the trans is hot. i limped it home and the 45 miles back into work this morning. tried to do a complete flush on it. lines and all. since the fluid was burnt very badley/ but when i pulled the pan down i kinda new it was D.O.A. the pan was filled with fried clutch fragments and other important trans parts. so with to days left till me and fathack were suppose to leave to mokan were "skunkless". we can allways take the shit shaker metro down i guess. but im really pissed about this whole deal. but the shitty part of this is.. that was my dail;y driver. so im stuck hitching a ride to work http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif so theres the drama from me. any one have a th350 they can get to me before tommrow night so i can still make it??? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Might be a blessing in disguise. Think how inconvenient it would have been for the tranny to puke in the middle of Nowhere, MO. Just went out to the shop and the only T350 I've got needs a rebuild. I thought I had a good one that you could have had but it's a no go.

Arriving in the Metro is better then not arriving at all. The HAMB Drags is a not to be missed event, I think you two will regret not attending. Think how much cheaper your fuel bill will be if you take the Metro.

Sounds like you're up north, but I know of a TH400 out of an '86 Suburban that you can have for $50, unknown mileage, condition was good when the engine blew a head gasket. DFW TX area.
