A model door hinge pins!!! need some tech info.

what tricks do you have for removing the pins on A model door hinges that have proly never been removed? i would like to reuse the old hinges if i can cause new hinges would look like new white sox in some old holey chuck taylors.

I had to use a torch to heat the hinges then use a round punch & hammer. Then I re-drill them over size and drop a stainless bolt in (with head rounded) depends on how wore they are 1/4" or 5/16"

thats right- but an additional guy holding that torch is handy as they seize as they cool down.
keeping it glowing allows the pin to peck out easily rather than havin to beat the living hell outa it and bending the Hinge itself! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
