anyone on here have pics of suicided front ends on a Model A frame? I'm a lil confused on the spring set up and a picture would work a million wonders in my head. I'm plannin on suiciding the front end on my 29 tudor sedan.

Thanks wideglide im starting to get a better understanding of the set up but I have seen them w/o the spring there such as jimmy shines truck and I am wandering if it is done that way there is no spring or if the spring is hidden?
I hope that made sense.....(to me even)

that last car is what your looking for. spring is mounted to the middle of the split bones instead of at the axle

Jimmy Shines truck is not typical although he used an old idea. His spring is hung from the wishbones (in his case hairpins) but each and every part is a hand crafted work of art. I also studied images of the truck and thought WTF until I saw a detailed photo on the board and it all made sense...

Follow this link (http://geocities.com/kustom1948/roadster1.html) to Eyeball's website. It has a build-up of a suicide front suspension with the spring mounted to split wishebones.
