With gas at a quadrillion dollars per gallon and us tightwads and cheapskates attempting to get parts relayed back and forth across the nation from one HAMB'er to another it would be nice to have a place to post in a seperate forum what needs to go where. Hell... at $4 per gallon I'd be more than happy to make a little extra room and a sidetrip for some gas moola when traveling from point a to point b. Car guys are also going to be a bit more likely to give old parts the "white glove treatment" than UPS or most truckers. Maybe even establish a HAMB rate of X% of the total mileage traveled. (This would probably work best for "not so big" parts"...but who knows). I checked this morning on shipping a model A cowl, hood, radiator and shell on a pallet and it would run the potential buyer about $400-$500 to get it done... talk about a potential deal killer.:rolleyes: I'm going to keep shopping rates for him and see if we can make it happen. I also posted a "ride needed" in the "wanted" forum but we'll see if that works.

Right now guys post in the Misc for sale section if they have room in their trucks / rigs.

Won't be adding any sections just for that, but thanks for the suggestion.

So..... post in the misc section if you have space and going from ..... to ...... and state your fee or negotiate it.
