I am not at the point where I have to make a decision about my frame. I am putting together a 29 sedan hiboy on 32 rails. Using a set of ASC rails as my starting point.

I plan to use a rear transverse spring (Model A). Do I need to widen the rear frame width to ensure the rails fit just inside the rear wheel well opening? currently leaning towards an uppinched front.

Now my question, is it best to mock up and square the rails, set the body on the rails and widen/ narrow as needed to get a nice fit. What do you recommend

Been looking thru old post and there is lots of talk about pinching but nothing on where to start. I do have Bishops book as reference but would like to hear from others.

thanks, What I was not sure was if the dimensions shown put the rear frame just inside ther rear wheel wells or do they need to be spread alittle more.

When we build the 29 roadster I used the frame specs shown.

The wagon is kinda on hold while I am workin' like a mad man trying to finishmy new shop! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

cut the wheel wells out and build new [flat]ones that show the 32 frame where it goes thru the wheel well.[same shape as top of frame]
most times ya need the panel replaced ,so why cover up the good lookin step in the 32 frame?
