View Full Version : All of my summbitches are running.
Must be the full moon or something, but they're all running.
The '54 Chevy, the '34 Ford, the '74 Vespa, the '63 Capri, the '93 ASPT Chopper and the '60 Chevy wagon. Lord knows how long this will last, but for now, it's a good feeling.
I took the Capri out today after two months of growing mold on her. Gawd it feels good to drive a 'modern' car, McPherson struts, disc brakes and 30 mpg. I put in a patch panel on her rear quarter, I gotta say this is the best metalwork I've done in 20 years. It came out perfect, just a skim of bondo and it's done.
It sucks having 6 modes of transportation and none of them look presentable, but I'm working on it. Me wants one car that looks really good, painted, upholstered and non mildewy.
It's been a bad week, lots of heartache, lots of hard work but I'm a happy camper....I guess.
All you good folks in HAMBland keep on doing what you do. Cheers to the best hobby in the world.

YHEA!
(I'm Jealous!)
ray, you're the man and ever so trusting.
Gonna do the window Saturday Nate, no go to NSRA. There's a bunch of hot rods driving around 1-4 though.
Sailor I'm sure Mike will bring his digicam, we'll post some pics. It's looking like crap right now but the goal is to have the car painted really soon.
Noah, I miss you pal.

you need to sell some of that shit and focus . I hate when that happens but thats what i am doing lately . I got a good deal on a 1969 panhead and everything must go ( except the merc ) . anyhow . . . insted of 7 projects that never get worked on , whittle it down to 2 or 3 that get good quality time . yes I even sold my scooter . Bought it almost new in 1984 when i graduated from H/S . i shed a VERY SMALL tear . . . . but the end result will bear the best fruit ( like myself ) .

Mike: YOur words ring true, thats why I'm jealous of Nads cause if he has all that stuff running he is the man. I have a 64 Cad with a rebuilt motor and tranny just waiting to go in that I just can't seem to get around to doing, my Chevy is finally getting worked on (brakes and gas tank flush) but it seems to be taking forever, the Hudson was running and just stopped from sitting around. I have a BMW R/50 I started on like 5 years ago, a 1956 Lambretta D150 and my wifes Vespa all of which are just staring at me and making me feel like I'm a chump buried under a ton of projects!!

RATBOY,
You're a chump alright... You and me need to get together and have a garage sale and sell off all of our projects that are doomed to sit around our houses and do nothing but make our wives angry...

seriously , at one time I had maybe 6 cars in my driveway , yard , garage , alley . . . I would have been lucky to be able to put air in one of the tires succesfully . after i trimmed it down things got done alot faster . it sucks to see them go , but sometimes you need to take a shit , to make room for desert . . . .

Mike: I laughed out load at that you need to take a shit line, thats great.
Tragic: How happy would E&B be if we had a garage sale....We should open our own wrecking yard, hell my house already looks like one as Lumpy has an old 62 Mercedes outside the house too now!
Nads: want some fine California projects we'll make you a package deal!
