Wear your sunblock kids. Last October I posted about having some stuff taken off of my forehead by Dr. SkinCancer and last week a small little pink spot on my forearm turned out to be a 2.5" piece of type 2B Melanoma.
Im only 35 and now Iam scheduled to have my lymph nodes checked out, I dont even want to know how they do that.

Have fun in the roadster, but wear some sunblock please.

I had a 1/4" section cut off my nose last year. SPF 50 all the time, now, along with a hat, not a ballcap, and longsleeves if working outside. Not fun but not the bad stuff. Having your nose deadened so skin cancer can be removed, twice, they didn't get it all at first, REALLY hurts so everyone listen to Glen. Hope it all works out well for you brother, keep us posted.

Glen, good post. I have two kinds. Myeloma and melonoma. Kinda rymes? 1st is bone marrow and 2nd is mole. Had the multiple myeloma since 90 and the mole taken off 4-5 yeaRS ago. Don't know about the 1st one but the mole was from the sun I think when I was a kid bucking hay.

Just one of life's test's.

Good luck, McCray

I don't know if it was the only way to test, but they removed one of my lymph nodes to do a biopsy on it. I was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes. I went through about nine months of chemo-therapy. That was in December of 1994, I was twenty-three years old. I'm thirty-three now and have no signs of it showing back up.

Man, I wish you well. Chemo sucks, but its better than death!!!

I have had a couple removed myself. It is hereditary in my cracker white family. I guess I'll have to give up posing for all the swimsuit calendars. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Interesting stuff... Myself, I don't have too much hair left at 29.
I often run around in the sun, without any sunblock or wearing a hat...
I think I should start to do that more often.
