i Just Joined This And I Really Do Not Know What Or How To Do It. I'm In Search Of Some Information On My 292 Brand New, Every Single Item In And On Engine Is Brand New, Only Motor Has Been Remanufactured By Jasper Engines. The Following Items Are Brand New, Not Remanufactured, Water Pump, Distributer, Fuel Pump, Radiator, Carburator, Starter, And All Other Parts Like Plugs Wires Etc. It Has A Grannt Tranny In It, The Truck Is A Dump Truck With Single Speed Rearend. When I'm Driving Along At 55 Miles An Hour At About 3000 Maybe 3300 Rpms, Over Time, Like 30 Miles, The Engine Starts To Run Hot. I Have A Temp Gauge At The Thermostat, And Another Where There Is A Plug On Th Manifold Side At The #6 Cylinder. It Seems To Run Hotter Than The One At The Thermostsat. The Thermostat One Will Go As High As 220 And The Other Goes Up To 260 And Over. I Run The Same Orange Antifreeze I Run In My 2002 Gmc Sierra. I Run 100% Antifreeze. I'm Also Running Castrol 10w40 Oil. I Was Told To Run 5w30 And It Made It Run Hotter Quicker And Lower Oil Pressure. Now I Saw A Place On Line That Says To Run 10w30. What Oil Should I Run? Anyone Know What Coud Be Making It Run Hot Like This. If I Stay At 2500 Rpms, I Can Drive All Day Around The Country. Remember The Rediator 3 Core Was Custom Built For This Truck And The Water Pump Was Brand New Not Reman. Everything Is Brand New.
