It's actually a bit O/T but I just HAVE to share this with you...
I went to a bit of trouble this week at work. A lot of you know that I'll be going to be over in California for 5 weeks in October.
Well... It almost wasn't gonna happen.
Some of you also know that I work in the Dutch Air Force. Now, what happened. We got the order to go to Afghanistan from Sept. 10 till Dec. 24th, To deliver some air support during the elections over there in September, because maybe, the shit'll hit the fan. And guess what, I had to go too!! That meant that I couldn't do my hot rod vacation which I've been planning for months and am looking forward to for a year already! To make a long story short... After doing a lot of talking with some of the "big dudes" here and there, a collegue of mine will do this detachement. He volunteered! I owe him big time!! Well, since they're having some more elections early next year, I'll have to go on the next one then, which starts on Dec. 24th, which kinda sucks, but, on the other hand, that'll give me the chance to save up some more cash to get a new ride!!!
Other great news is that I just got my credentials confirmed from the NHRA to get a press pass for the upcoming CHRR!!! Ain't that bitchin'!! I can do some awesome photography for our website and for the Dutch car mag I write for every now and then!
