I've been looking for one of these for almost a year now on the Bay and haven't had any luck. It's a spool for my upcoming Ironhead project.
Stopped by a local shop that's owned by an older guy. On a whim, I asked if he'd ever seen one of those spools w/ the ridge down the middle. He laughed and said "yeah, I think so...come up front." Pulled this jem out of a back corner. "You've got more balls than me if you're going to ride w/ out a front brake. It's yours." Asked him what the damage was and he said "a half pint of shine' ought to do it."
Kick ass! It's almost too nice to use, but I'm gonna'. For now, it's just sitting on my desk at work next to the hood ornament off my old '56 Vic.
