Is there a difference in the aftermarket heads for the V8? I have a set of Offy, Weiand, and Edlebrock, but they all look the same. Is there a differance? I tried to do a search, but it brought up hundreds of pages of results. Just got overwelmed.
Thanks

No idea yet. It will be on the mild side though. I only have the heads and a 2x2 intake. I have to talk my uncle into selling me a block and other goodies, so its pretty wide open.

I've heard quality control on the Offys can be off, but that may only be the newer ones.
For a mild engine, go with the ones you like best...

The Edelbrock are easyer to clean between the fins than the Offies.Just make sure you can get the old studs out of the block before you spend money on gaskets and new studs.

I have found the major diffrence on a mild flathead to be in the cooling, I have run weiand's and edelbrocks but found that the Sharp heads that are made still by Wilcap run great and cool excellent, my motor stays under 170 in 75-80 degree weather with no problems, sitting in traffic I have not been over 185, performance is great to, my weiands heated up and looked like a small casting, don't get me wrong they work fine but for the miles I drive I like the Sharps.
